How Meredith’s Student Success Center Can Support You

For many students, college can be both exciting and challenging. After all, it’s a new environment and often the first time students are away from their families. That’s why at Meredith, we have the Student Success Center to make sure students have the resources they need to reach their full potential.

In today’s blog, we discuss how the Student Success Center can support you throughout your college career.

Academic Advising

The Student Success Center offers generalized academic advising for every student. If you are undecided about your major, you will have the opportunity to identify your academic interests and explore different majors. Once you declare a major, you’ll be assigned a faculty advisor within your program of study who will work with you throughout the rest of your time at Meredith.

Success Coaching

Success Coaches act as a go-to person for any issue you may face at Meredith. At no additional cost, they will provide consistent support and guidance throughout your time at Meredith. Whether you need a pep talk or help finding a resource on campus, your Success Coach will be there to help!

“Success Coaching is like having a faculty friend. My success coach gives me pep talks and grounds me in who I am and what I can do. I may see myself as just another student but my success coach sees me as a remarkable student who is capable of anything I put my mind to.”
Solveig Lee, ’25

Peer Tutoring

The Learning Center provides free (yes, free!) peer tutoring services for when you need some extra instruction. Student tutors are trained to accommodate individual learning styles and needs and offer one-on-one and group sessions. Additionally, the Center also conducts presentations on learning styles, study skills, and time management to help make you a more confident and capable learner.
