Discovery
In the fall, first year students are required to attend two seminars on pertinent social issues college students face. Topics might include substance abuse, date and acquaintance rape, effective communication skills, diversity as well as other social awareness topics.

Making a Successful Transition to College”
Come engage in a discussion about strategies for achieving academic and personal success during your first year at Meredith College. This session will feature a panel of upper-class students and will be moderated by Dr. Shannon Grimes, Assistant Professor of Religious & Ethical Studies.
