Wellness

Definition of Wellness

"...a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." - The World Health Organization

At Meredith we feel that wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. It is the ability to participate in activities and form relationships that expand and strengthen the body, mind, and soul and promote strong connections to our community and the environment.

Dimensions of Wellness

Wellness is a dynamic process of change and growth. There are many interrelated dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, spiritual, community, environmental, and occupational – or what we call academic/career. Each dimension is equally vital in the pursuit of optimum health.
