Week 1 in Italy
Its been a little over a week since we arrived in Italy. Rome involved a lot of sightseeing and a lot of walking in very hot weather. I really enjoyed visiting St. Peters Basilica and since we were lucky enough to be there on a religious holiday we got the privilege of seeing the Pope. On our last day we visited the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum where we spent most of our day. The Colosseum was much bigger than we expected. After four days in Rome we traveled to Sansepolcro where we met with the remainder of our group. Sansepolcro is so much prettier and peaceful than Rome and I have really enjoyed living in Palazzo Alberti. So far our school trips included going to Anghiari, Perugia and Assisi. Our plan for tomorrow involves going to Florence very early in the morning, which I cannot wait for. One of my favorite experiences so far has been visiting the Busatti Looms and getting the tour of the looms and of the guest rooms. I have really fallen in love with Italy and have had an enjoyable experience and I cannot wait what the remainder of the trip will hold for me.
