Italy Program - Eat, Play, Design
This summer, 14 students, led by Meredith College Professor of Interior Design Ellen Goode and Professor of Child Development Kathryn Clark, will Eat, Play and Design in Italy. Courses offered are CD 900: Play: Cross Cultural Perspectives and ID 940: Italian Design Studio.
Eat, Play, Design is housed at Meredith's Italian campus, the Palazzo Alberti, in Sansepolcro. Located in the Tiber river valley, this ancient Tuscan city provides the perfect setting for our students to learn about Italian life and culture. Outside of class you will have the time to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the town, strolling the streets, sampling the local coffee in an outdoor cafe, or the gelato.
The program runs from July 2-23, 2011.
While they are abroad, students will be sending frequent reflections in a journal format. These entries will be posted on the web site regularly so that the Meredith community can track the travelers' progress. Be sure to check back often to see where they are and what they are doing.
