We went on a hike through the forest in La Selva. We walk through old forest and new forest and you could really see the difference in the two. We saw a lot of iguanas and birds of all kinds. Toward the end of the hike we saw a troop of monkeys and a sloth.
My favorite part of the hike was the fire tree. It was what people look for when it is raining because it is flammable when wet. The fruit of the tree sprays this liquid that when it comes in contact with a little fire bursts into fire like hairspray does. The guide said that even the bark is like that.
