The Technology Services Leave of Absence Policy will cover all students who are currently attending classes and have a Meredith owned laptop. Because of the discontuation of the laptop program any student who had returned their laptops prior to the Fall 2012 semester will not be eligible to recieve a new laptop.

The following rules apply to the Leave of Absence Policy

If a student is approved for a LOA, and has a Meredith laptop, she will be allowed to keep the laptop for one year or the duration of the LOA, whichever is shorter.

** For students eligible for a Fall 2013 upgrade ** If the student returns to Meredith College within the allowed year, and if she is eligible to receive an upgrade, then the student will receive her upgrade either in the fall 2013 semester.

If the student does not return from the LOA, her account will be billed for the laptop and any Meredith College owned software that is installed on the laptop. If the laptop is returned to the College within 30 days of the expiration of the LOA, the accounting hold and laptop charge will be removed.

If a LOA extension is approved (limit 1) the student will be allowed to keep the laptop for the duration of the extension.
