Campus Software

Meredith College uses site and individual licensing to manage distribution of software for employees and students. Membership with the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities provides for cost saving purchasing plans and a way for students and employees to purchase software at reduced prices.

Software Options at Meredith College 
Microsoft:  The Meredith College Microsoft license allows installation of the operating system, Office Enterprise, Expression Web, and the Digital Image Suite on all computers owned by the college. Special pricing is available to all students, faculty, and staff, for certain Microsoft products. See Purchasing Software below.

Adobe: Adobe products are available as individual licenses through the relationship with NCICU. Meredith College provides certain Adobe products on Common and Curriculum Lab computers. Special pricing is also available to all students and employees for certain Adobe products. See Purchasing Software below.
SPSS: Meredith College has a site license for IBM's SPSS, providing predictive analytics software and solutions. SPSS is installed on all student laptops, lab computers, and can be installed on a student's personal laptop if required.
Atomic Learning: Meredith's site license provides access for employees, students, and family members to Atomic Learning's automated tutorial knowledge base, providing support for PC and Mac software. Contact the help desk for id and password.
SAS/JMP: Meredith College has a site license for SAS's main statistical software and a limited license for the new statistical discovery software JMP.
WYNN: This license allows for installation of the software on all computers owned by the college. Part-time, graduate, and graduated students have the the ability to purchase WYNN (see below) at discounted prices.
 

Student, Employee, and Lab Software
Full time students, who participate in the Laptop Program, and employees will have certain default software installed on their computers. Meredith College also utilizes a network of open/common computer labs, and department labs that have default software installed.

Purchasing Software for Meredith College Students and Employees

With Meredith College's membership to the NCICU and it relationship with Freedom Scientific, discounted Microsoft, Adobe, and WYNN software is available to Meredith College students and employees. To participate in the program you must be currently employed or enrolled as a student and have a current Meredith email address.
Meredith College has partnered with VarsityBuys to provide heavily discounted prices for Microsoft, Adobe, and select other academic software. Download the account setup instructions, then visit your personalized V-store, select the student or faculty/staff tab, create your account, and start shopping for the software you need today.

WYNN Site    Freedom Scientific offers Meredith Students, with a current Meredith email address, the ability to purchase a personal copy of WYNN. This $1000 value will cost the student $325.
