Meredith College provides all students, faculty and staff with a Google Apps education account. It is different from the public Google account. Education accounts are limited in the applications that are made available. If you try to add an application and you get the message that your administrator needs to add this for you then it is not available for the education account. You can access your Google account from: http://www.meredith.edu/enews/email.htm. |
Meredith College has two domains, one for students and another for faculty and staff. This why there will be two different access points when selecting the link above. |

Students, faculty and staff have access all of the applications from their Gmail account. There are some applications that are available to faculty and staff that students do not have access to such as Blogger. |

Gmail: Meredith's email program and can be accessed via a web browser which can be synced with Microsoft's email reader Outlook. |

Google Calendar: time-management web application which also provides schedule sharing. |

Google Documents/Drive: web based collaboration tool for word processing, spreadsheets, forms, presentations, etc. |

Sites: web based collaborative website creation tool. |

Groups: Collaborative discussion board that can be used as a mailing list. Google Groups allows students and employees to set up their own mailing lists, and easily share docs, sites, and calendars with colleagues. Creation of groups is restricted to Meredith College's technical staff. To request the setup of a group send an email to the Google Groups Administrator. |
