All Day Residence Hall Energy Competition

The Energy Team, Facilities Services, the Office of Sustainability, Residence Life and Angels for the Environment are working together to host LIGHTS OFF, PARTY ON  on FRIDAY APRIL 20th. Lights Off, Party On is an all-day energy competition between the 6 residence halls (does not include the Oaks Apartments). All day means 4/20 12:00 AM to 4/20 11:59 – a full 24 hours of savings!

The winning residence hall will receive a Krispy Kreme party during exam week! We will announce the winning hall on enews, facebook and on the Sustainability website, so please check back.

Energy Savings Tips:

• turn off lights
• unplug electronics when not in use (especially when you leave your room)
• take stairs instead of elevators
• leave windows closed (if your room temperature is extreme, please contact Facilities Services)

After a long day of energy savings, turn off your lights, unplug your electronics and head to SMB Courtyard to Party with Angels for the Environment:

4:00 - 6:00 – Tie-Dying in SMB Courtyard (cancelled if raining) (bring light colored shirts and fabrics)

8:00 - 10:00 – PARTY ON! Wall-E, Stargazing, Pizza and Prizes in SMB Courtyard, Rain location is Kresge (BIG PRIZES are an iPod Touch and $50 gift card to Holly Aiken. Please bring blanket to sit on as Wall-E will be shown outdoors.)
