Power Down for the Planet- Summer Internship
Power Down for the Planet, a consumer marketing campaign created by the Climate Savers Computing Initiative, is dedicated to reducing IT power consumption on campuses and in dorm rooms around the world and getting students and university administrations involved in the fight against climate change. In 2009, the Power Down for the Planet Challenge helped 19 participating universities offset more than 3,000 tons of CO2 emissions, save more than 4 million kWh of energy through computer power management.
This year, Power Down is seeking a student intern to help shape the 2010 campaign. This intern will have the opportunity to work alongside Climate Savers Computing Initiative members like Google, Intel, Microsoft, and the World Wildlife Fund for two months in Portland, Oregon.
