Sustainability at Meredith College
Weekly Vegetable and Flower Shares Available
Beausol Gardens again offers community supported agriculture (CSA) produce share deliveries directly to campus this spring and summer and is currently accepting new customers. Fresh vegetable CSA shares, in three different sizes, and flower bouquets are delivered weekly to campus, available to employees and students.
Providing access to locally produced food is part of our Greenprint Goal 2. Meredith students, staff and faculty have purchased over 100 produce shares since 2009, delivered weekly during the summer, fall, and winter seasons. In addition, several Meredith students have interned at Beausol Gardens in recent years.
The 2012 main season features three sizes of vegetable shares - a full share for $630, three quarters share for $475.00, and a half share for $315. The flower share, which is weekly bouquet of seasonal flowers is $120. The CSA season begins the first of May and runs to the end of September. Read more detail about the CSA at http://beausol.com/csa.html and refer to the sign up agreement for more information, http://beausol.com/csa_signup.html. Meredith deliveries will be on Tuesday afternoons in the Chapel.
