2009 Women’s Leadership Summit
Thank you for your interest in Meredith College’s inaugural Women’s Leadership Summit of 2009. With approximately 450 dynamic women leaders in attendance, this first summit was a resounding success. It provided an important opportunity for a diverse group of women leaders to be inspired, learn best practices, develop plans to help bring about positive change in their communities and meet like-minded women from across the state of North Carolina and beyond.
Women who attended the summit are asking how they can maintain their energy and enthusiasm for the new ideas and practices they gained through their participation. The Institute for Women’s Leadership at Meredith College is committed to fostering women’s leadership. Here are some of the ways you can continue to grow and develop as a leader:
- Share feedback on your summit experience;
- Connect with other women leaders across the region;
- Listen to a story on NPR’s The State of Things that featured the summit;
- Attend other regional leadership events as detailed in a letter from Anitra Baldwin, director of the Institute for Women’s Leadership;
- Download a copy of Dr. Deborah Kolb’s presentation, available by popular demand; and
- Sign up to receive information from the Institute for Women’s Leadership, including details about the next summit, scheduled to take place in 2011.
Thank you again for the part you played in making this first summit so successful. We hope you enjoyed your experience, and look forward to continuing to work with you in support of women’s leadership.
