Information for Faculty & Staff
First Year Experience Class
At Meredith, we strive to help each of our students make a smooth transition to college. One of the ways we do that is by offering a class designed to help students negotiate the challenges and new experiences they encounter in their first year at school. We connect them with campus resources, help them develop effective academic strategies and improve their communication skills. The class also helps students develop a strong relationship with a faculty/staff member.
The First Year Experience class is a one-hour credit course taught by a variety of faculty and staff. Class instructors must have at least a master’s degree. If you’d like to learn more about teaching an FYE class, please contact us.
