Information for New Students
As a new student, you are encountering many exciting changes and challenges in your life. The Dean of Students staff are here to ensure that you thrive at college. From new student orientation to first year experience to residence life, we have programs in place to support you and help you enjoy a successful first year at Meredith.
Services for new students include:
- New Student Orientation
- First Year Experience
- MC Alert—sign up to be notified in case of an emergency at Meredith
- Online Student Handbook and Activities Calendar— your guide to everything at Meredith, including the honor code, a weekly activity calendar and a guide to residence life
- Emergency notification to faculty for student hospitalizations or death of immediate family member
- Counseling and referral
- Crisis Intervention
- Assist students who need to withdraw or take a leave of absence from the College. If you’re not sure whether you should withdraw or take a leave of absence, visit the registrar's web site for more information.
