Goals for year:

Increase student awareness of the Unity Council and how it benefits them
Strengthen our current programs and events, such as AIDS Awareness Week and the Unity Rally
Incorporate new events into our program

The Purpose of the Unity Council is to:

Study, address and attempt to solve concerns about diversity
Support the well being of all students and organizations affected by diversity and promote inclusiveness

The Function of the Unity Council is to:

Increase diversity education and awareness on campus
To serve as an open forum for students to voice concerns pertaining to issues of diversity and inclusiveness on campus
To sponsor and co-sponsor programs, seminars, and/or conferences on campus dealing with diversity

We are accepting applications for the following positions:

This online drop box provides an opportunity for Meredith students to express their concerns with things going on around campus within the Meredith student body, faculty, and staff. All Meredith students should feel free to bring up any topics that they feel have affected them an should be resolved and may remain anonymous if they just want the Unity Council to be aware of the problem. However, if the student expressing their concern would like to meet with the Unity Council to discuss their problem and work to resolve it, they may attach their contact information, as well as, times they are available to meet to discuss their conern.

Problems concerning Belk Dining Hall and Commuter parking should not be added to the Unity Council Community Concern Box.
