Meredith to Test Emergency Alert System November 7 Meredith College will conduct a test of its campus siren system on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011. Meredith has a siren warning system that allows the College to issue warnings for incidents involving safety and security issues. This system has both alarm and voice warning capability. When you hear the siren wail, that means you should take cover in a building. Once the all clear siren sounds, that means the emergency situation is over. To familiarize yourself with the siren wail and the all clear siren, visit www.meredith.edu/emergency-planning/emergency-notification-system.htm to hear sample audio of the siren warning system.
