The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) was formed in 2002. The primary focus of the organization is to better promote student-athletes from North Carolina’s colleges and universities.

The June 2 event at Meredith includes a general business meeting and professional development opportunities for Sports Information Directors in the afternoon.

Sessions include Writing Tips for News Stories, featuring Meredith College Associate Professor of Mass Communication Doug Spero, and Writing for the Web and Feature Stories with Tim Peeler, GoPack.com managing editor.

Meredith College Sports Information Director Greg Jarvis serves on the NCCSIA’s executive board as secretary/publicist.
