Students: Help Name Meredith's New Apartments Meredith College will open its newest student housing option in the fall of 2009, and students can help name the apartment building. The Apartment Life Planning Committee is requesting student input on what the new building should be called. Send suggestions to apartments@meredith.edu. Ideas from Meredith students will be accepted through February 19, 2009. Furniture Fair Scheduled A Furniture Fair will be held on February 19. This event is an opportunity for students to have input on the apartment furnishings. During the Furniture Fair, students will also be able to comment on suggested names for the apartment. The Furniture Fair will be held from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and from 4:45 -7 p.m. on the Stringfield side of Belk Dining Hall. Students will be able to look at, sit on and evaluate furniture possibilities being considered. Construction is slated to be complete in June on the apartment building, which will consist of 48 four bedroom/two bathroom units and 30 two bedroom/two bathroom units. Each apartment will be fully furnished with full-size beds, desks, a couch, dining room furniture and appliances, including washer/dryer and full-sized refrigerator.
