Second Annual Film Feastival Feb. 7

The Durham-Chapel Hill and Raleigh District Dietetic Associations, in partnership with the Meredith College Master of Science in Nutrition Program and Slow Food Triangle, is hosting the second annual Film “Feastival” on February 7 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. in Meredith College’s Kresge Auditorium.

The “Feastival” will offer a smorgasboard of films about food, samples of local food products, and thoughtprovoking discussion with panelists with expertise in community gardening. Documentary film can stimulate community dialogue, action and policy change. Panel participants will share personal reactions to the films and their unique perspectives, while engaging the audience in thoughtful discussion.

The purpose of the Film “Feastival” is to help individuals, families, communities and policy makers recognize the environmental impact of their food choices. Consumers, through our food choices and grassroots efforts, can stop the practices that harm our health, our planet, and our quality of life.
