Annual Martin Luther King Service January 28 Meredith College will hold a worship service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at 10 a.m. in Jones Chapel. The chapel service was rescheduled from January 21 after inclement weather delayed the College's opening. The Martin Luther King, Jr. chapel service is an annual event at Meredith College. It is sponsored by the Meredith College Association for Cultural Awareness’ Black Student Union Committee (BSU). Students and Chaplain Sam Carothers will lead the service. BSU Vice Chair Katelyn Moore, ’11, will present the message. Other participants include BSU Chair Bria’ Gilchrist, ’10, Association for Cultural Awareness (ACA) President Angenette Burns, ’09, Shonie Taylor, ’12, ACA secretary Belinda Boone, ’10, Brittany Morgan, ’11, and Shekinah Tharrington, ’11.
