Hi, my name is Meredith Hester and I am originally from Reston, Virginia. It is located in one of the most northern suburbs of Virginia and just 30 minutes outside of our Nation's Capital, Washington D.C. I have lived there all my life, but enjoy attending college in a different state and environment.I believe moving to a new place is always a good experience.

I am currently a sophmore and major in Exercise Science. I chose exercise science as a major being an athlete my entire life, I am interested in the body and taking care of it. I play soccer for the school, and have played soccer since I was 5. I love sports, they have really impacted my life and I have gained great friends from the experience. I used to play basketball, softball, gymnastics, and dance. I have always been very active, and can't imagine my life without sports.

Once I graduate from North Carolina Wesleyan, I want to play soccer over seas and eventually pursue a career as an exercise science major. I would also love to work in the fashion industry. I have been a sales person at a well known department store (Nordstrom) for four years and I love it. I get a good discount and a lot of experience working with different co-workers as well as assisting many different customers with different needs. I am not sure when I will settle down with a career, but whatever do I want help others in some way, whether it be through physical therapy, nutrition, or fashion advice. I also want to enjoy myself and look forward to helping others and feeling accomplished.
