My name is Ashley Ball, I am nineteen and a junior at North Carolina Wesleyan College. I have lived in Rocky Mount my whole life and have big dreams of moving out of this town upon graduation.
I am a history major and will have my secondary education certification in May 2009.
I play tennis here at the college and will hopefully coach tennis in a high school setting one day.
I have taken a few science courses, mainly because they were required, and I had to take them. I am currently enrolled in BIO495: African Wildlife and Human Interaction (I think that's the full name of it, anyway). The class is very interesting and has sparked an interest in Africa. I never knew that the continent was so diverse. Being from a small town, I am honestly not very cultured. To learn about issues, wildlife, and people from other countries is remarkable. I would love to travel to Africa, if possible as early as this summer, and write my honors thesis on my experiences there.
