My name is Leigh Ann Alford and I am a senior History major, I am also pursuing a minor in Political Science and will be getting my teaching license for high school social studies.
My favorite past times are swimming and dancing. I love Meredith College and our traditions, many of which I participate in.
In 2006, I studied in the UK, traveling all around England and Scotland, living in London and visited Paris.
I have always been very interested in Africa and am astonished by the varying cultures. My interest deepened when I took an African history course last year, which prompted me to take this course and understand more about contemporary Africa. Traveling to Africa is one of my lifetime goals.
