Hello, my name is Autumn Metzger and I am a senior at Meredith College in Raleigh North Carolina.

I will be graduating in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis on pre med.

The current plan is to take the MCATS and attend medical school in the next year or so.

In the mean time I love school and I work part time as a nanny and a certified nurses assistant. As a nursing assistant I have worked on the rehab unit of our local hospital and I currently work with a little boy named Stephen who has a severe case of cerebral palsy.

I play basketball for Meredith and am part of the Student Athlete advisory committee. I also am a part of the honors program as well as Campus Crusade for Christ.

In what little free time I have I love to spend with my closest friends, my five roommates and my boyfriend. My family lives across the country in Oregon and I enjoy spending whatever vacation time with them as well.

I have a passion for literature and the beach and this past summer I traveled to Central America to work in the hospitals. As a result I have a new love for travel and open eyes to the problems or world health. I hope someday to work with doctors without borders or another medical relief program.
