International Students - Orientation Information
Meredith College recognizes that the adjustment to life in a new culture can be a challenge for international students. Because of some of the unique issues international students face, we host a special orientation for them. Typically this orientation is held the Friday before New Student Orientation.
International student orientation is mandatory for all entering students who require an F-1 student visa to attend Meredith College. In addition dual citizens, permanent residents, and other international students are welcome to attend. Please note that this orientation is in addition to the regular Freshman Orientation, and you will be expected to participate fully in both.
The orientation covers a variety of topics including orientation to campus, academic policies, immigration regulations, course registration, and where and how to find assistance should you encounter difficulties. Current international students and a variety of staff help coordinate this program. It is a great way to begin your time here at Meredith.
All students will receive a copy of the schedule and instructions on when to arrive during the summer. Should you have any questions about the orientation, please do not hesitate to ask. Direct questions to Liz Yaros at email@example.com.
