Meredith College provides health insurance options because we believe all eligible employees should have coverage.  However, we also recognize that employees may have health insurance options outside of Meredith that they would prefer to use.  In those situations, employees may opt-out of Meredith health insurance plans and receive a monthly cash payment instead.  For 2013, that amount will be $100 per month.  Employees are required to sign a recertification form and provide proof of alternative coverage annually to participate in this plan.
