Full-time assistant professor position in Italian, beginning August 2009, pending budget approval. Applicants should hold the Ph.D. in Italian language, literature or civilization and also be qualified to teach lower-division courses in another language. Candidates should have substantial academic preparation and experience in language instruction.   

The successful applicant will have a native or near-native speaking ability in Italian with excellent skills in French or Spanish. Special consideration will be given to applicants having enthusiasm for language teaching at all levels as well as interest in or experience with an American college campus in Italy.
