Meredith College Model UN - Cultural Understanding, Intercollegiate Diplomacy
The Meredith Model United Nations Club is open to all Meredith College students and has sent a delegation each fall to the Atlanta-based Southern Regional Model United Nations organization. In past years, Meredith students have represented Bangladesh, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Russia and the International Alliance for Women, competing against other colleges and universities across the country. In its first year, the Meredith Bangladesh delegation earned an award for its superior performance.

Meredith Model UN Delegation Wins Second Award
The Meredith College delegation to the Southern Regional Model United Nations was one of only 12 of the 71 participating delegations receive an award for excellence. In doing this, Meredith finished ahead of model UN teams from colleges and universities such as UNC Chapel Hill, Clemson, Furman, Agnes Scott, Penn State, Georgia State, Mississippi State, LSU, and the U.S. Military Academy! The Meredith delegation also earned scholarships towards participation the International Model UN conference, to be held in Costa Rica.
