Aqua Angels
Synchronized swimming is a sport that requires strength, endurance, breath control, flexibility and an ear for music. The swimmers never touch the bottom, but use water treading and hand sculling techniques to propel themselves and others in the water.
The Meredith College Aqua Angels swim in several performances a year in Weatherspoon Pool on the Meredith campus which are free to the public.

Junior Aqua Angels/Synchronized Swimming Clinics
The Meredith College Aqua Angels are pleased to announce a Jr. Aqua Angel program for children ages 8 and above. There will be two components to the program.
Component I will include clinics that will teach basic and intermediate synchronized swimming skills. This three week program will cover basic sculls, figures, and patterns used in synchronized swimming. Participants must be able to swim at least 2 lengths of the pool. No experience in synchronized swimming is needed.
Component II will include training opportunities which focus on building strength, and endurance as well as introducing choreography. This five week program will conclude with a performance in the Spring 2010 Aqua Angel Show. Must have completed the Jr. Aqua Angel Component I training or have had previous synchronized swimming experience.

Dates : Jan 26, 28, Feb 2, 4, 9, 11 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Time 5:00 to 5:50 ages 8 to 11
6:00 to 6:50 ages 12 and above
Cost: $80
Component II --- Jr. Aqua Angels
Dates: Feb 16, 18, 23, 25, March 2, 4, 9, 11
Time: 5:00 to 5:50 ages 8 to 11
6:00 to 6:50 ages 12 and above
Cost: $ 80 (includes a copy of the Aqua Angel Show video)
This program will also be meeting the week of March 22 times to be determined
Show dates are Thursday March 25 and Friday March 26 at 8:00 pm.
