Fashion Merchandising and Design - Organizations and Opportunities
Almost every year students travel to the Big Apple to the world famous Garment District. For five days during January, before classes begin, students tour factories, designer showrooms, exhibits and more.
Each October, January or April, students can work as production assistants for the fashion shows at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart. You meet buyers and manufacturers from all across the United States.
Meredith provides a variety of study abroad opportunities for its students. For more information on traveling abroad, visit http://www.meredith.edu/abroad/.
Each summer, students have the opportunity to study and earn six hours of credit in Paris, France. For one month, students live in apartments in the famous Latin Quarter of Paris and take two fashion courses that can be used to satisfy graduation requirements.
