Meredith Association of Family and Consumer Sciences
Meredith College has a student chapter of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS).
The Meredith Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (MAFCS) is open to students majoring in any area of human environmental sciences.
Meredith has an active student chapter and officers at the local, state and national level. Our students receive a 50% discount on national membership fees.
The AAFCS is one of the oldest professional organizations in the United States. Its purpose is to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities through education, collaboration, leadership and research.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Meredith regularly sponsors student attendance at state and national conferences for AAFCS and the North CarolinaAssociation of Family and Consumer Sciences (NCAFCS).
In fact, Meredith was the most represented school in undergraduate research presentation at a recent AAFCS conference.
