Then choose a major in Family and Consumer Sciences, which integrates areas of study from child development, foods and nutrition, clothing and textiles, and interior design.  You will graduate with the tools needed to improve the quality of life for families and individuals.

The family and consumer sciences major focuses on

• empowering individuals,
• strengthening families and
• enabling communities through teaching, research, collaboration, leadership and service.

With an emphasis on student leadership and research, Meredith’s program will prepare you to assume professional responsibilities in a variety of career fields such as education, business, industry, social agencies and government, or to enter a graduate program for further study.
