Graduate Student Orientation
Welcome to Meredith College Master of Nutrition program! Now that you have been accepted to the graduate program you are probably wondering "What do I do next?" The following steps should be completed before classes begin.
- Return Confirmation Form. Confirmation forms may be dropped off, mailed in, or faxed to Sylvia Horton, Graduate Studies, Room 118 Park Center, office: (919) 760-8058, fax: (919) 760-2898.
- Register for classes. All students, current and new, are required to meet with their graduate advisor before registering for the upcoming semester. New students should contact Dr. Bill Landis at (919) 760-8735, landisb@meredith.edu
- Obtain your CamCard. Student ID CamCards are free and available at the Campus Police Office (you will have your picture taken). CamCards are used to check out library books, and you may put money on the card for copies and on-campus purchases. Campus Police Office: (919) 760-8888.
- Purchase your Parking Permit. A commuter pass may be obtained for $100 at the Campus Police Office and is good for 1 year.
- Set up Meredith Email account. You will be assigned a Meredith email after you are registered for classes. Technology Services will mail you information about your email address and initial password. Technology Services: (919) 760-2803.
- Attend mandatory Graduate Student Orientation.

Optional Campus tour at 3:00pm; Orientation will begin at 4:00pm
The Objectives of the Graduate Student Orientation are:
- To introduce new graduate students to the student services available.
- To assist students in obtaining ID cards, parking passes, email accounts.
- To help students learn to used the Meredith College WebAdvisor system.
- To acquaint students with the Graduate Handbook.
- To have student build professional & personal relationships with faculty and students.
The event will be held in Cate Center, Kresge Auditorium, dinner to follow at 6:30pm.
