Work / Life Balance

Meredith College MBA students.Evening format and convenient location caters to working professionals.
The program is designed to accommodate the scheduling needs of career-oriented men and women. Classes are held after the traditional workday, typically running from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. With the campus located just off the beltline and I-40, the campus location is easy to access from RTP, Durham, or Raleigh.

Adjustable pace allows students the flexibility to take life as it comes.
Students have the option to vary the pace of their academic program as needed. Many students take the maximum two-course pace, but a slower pace of one course at a time is also an option. When work or life changes suddenly create obstacles or opportunities, students can adjust their schedule or take a leave of absence and drop back in when reasonable. This ability to be flexible helps students to feel confident that getting the MBA is an achievable goal, even if they are hit with unexpected challenges. Students can also start the program in the fall or the spring semester.

Classmates and faculty acknowledge commitment to career and family.
Since virtually all the MBA students are working full-time, classmates definitely understand the commitment to work. In addition, with an average age of 32, many of the students have family and the commitments that go with that as well. Students and faculty, while still having the high expectations of an MBA program, do understand that these outside commitments create multiple priorities to juggle.
