Skill Development

Professional skill development enhances interpersonal abilities.
Feedback from our Business Advisory Board confirms that interpersonal skills are the basis for success in leadership roles. We put special emphasis on these skills, including guidance and practice in presentation and written skills for the business environment. In addition, the collaborative nature of the classroom setting and the extensive teamwork creates a scenario where all contribute to the group effort.

Critical-thinking and decision-making skills apply to any business setting.
Through case studies, analysis, discussion, and simulations, students put business skills into practice. Students first learn to solve real world problems across all business disciplines, ultimately pulling all subject areas together in a culminating Capstone experience. Research and analysis skills can be put into practice in any work environment or industry.

Cross-functional knowledge creates confidence and a big-picture perspective.
Mastering the broad subject matter creates confidence that extends into the work environment. A new understanding of the interaction of functional areas builds awareness that increases the scope of ability in the work setting. This big-picture view enhances performance in specific functional areas of management or in a broader role such as Director or VP.
