Global Perspective
International travel is an option with Business in China elective.
Students have the opportunity to travel to China with faculty to learn first-hand about the similarities and differences of how business is done in China. By visiting companies such as Lenovo, GE, and China Citic Bank in cities such as Shanghai and Beijing, students have the chance to meet executives and tour facilities. Of course, these world travelers also get to take in some cultural sites along the way, including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.
Courses support the global initiative.
All classes have global components or cases to emphasize relevant business issues. In addition, designated courses such as Competing in the Global Marketplace and International Management further develop globally-based topics for students.
Hands-on project to help a real company implement global business initiatives.
Through a relationship with the SBTDC, in MBA 660, students work with a local firm that is undergoing a global expansion. Students research and recommend appropriate strategies for entering global markets, sourcing global suppliers, or importing goods. Projects, speakers, and case studies further develop the mindset for working in an international scope.

Academically qualified faculty from countries such as China and France bring a firsthand knowledge of cultural differences that can impact global relationships. International students with work experience also help to explore cultural topics.
