Ethical Leadership

Ethics and leadership concepts infused throughout the curriculum.
Ethical behavior is a cornerstone of strong leadership in business. Coursework and projects in the MBA consistently weave in ethics and leadership topics to give students a broad overview of ethics in all disciplines and industries. Taking a position and defending it, from both an ethical and leadership perspective, is a common practice in casework and class discussion. Leadership skills in the program are built in tandem with ethical concepts to strengthen principled decision-making in management settings.

Specific course offerings provide additional depth in leadership and ethics topics.
Courses such as MBA 640, Management and Ethical Leadership, and MBA 646, Law and Ethics for Managers, provide a broader range and deeper discussion of topics that support this learning objective.

Events, workshops, speakers, and seminars to further support and enhance the learning experience.
Co-curricular opportunities throughout the MBA experience reinforce classroom learning. Recent events include an RBC week that provided ethical focus from a local company, a panel discussion with Business Advisory Board members, and distinguished speakers—leaders brought in from firms such as Lenovo, IBM, and FedEx/Kinkos. In addition, a series of three leadership seminars offered by the Dean of the School of Business, gives students a unique opportunity to interact with the Dean as both a leader and an accomplished faculty.
