Comments by Doug Clark, ’02, ODA Team Director, WorldWide Epidemiology, GlaxoSmithKline “Since graduating from Meredith's MBA program my career at GlaxoSmithKline has been looking up. I was promoted to Manager and US Team Leader within months of completing my MBA. Last year, I was promoted again to Associate Director. A couple of weeks ago I was promoted to Director and now lead/manage a worldwide group of eleven staff/contractors. I would not be where I am today without having my MBA. My MBA has also allowed me to lead the People/Culture initiative for our entire department of close to 100 worldwide. I recently joined the Meredith Business Advisory Board. I am also an artist and have been using the skills that I learned during my MBA to establish myself in the local community and grow painting from a hobby to a business. MBA Alumni Spotlight: MBA Alumni Event a Success
MBA alumni met for conversation and networking at a casual event at the Bonefish Grill in June. Alumni came out to see old friends and make new connections while sharing delicious appetizers in a upbeat setting.
Everyone took advantage of the networking aspects of the event by sharing stories and business cards. Many thanks to Paige Humble and Kathy Hughes who helped to coordinate. Another get-together will take place in the fall. Email us at mbaalum@meredith.edu
