Ethics
Develop a clearly-defined ethical compass. We strengthen your framework to help you more clearly understand the ethical impact of decisions.
Ethical Frameworks
During orientation, students are presented with the ethical theories that serve as the foundation for making ethical business decisions. These frameworks are reinforced, discussed, and used for decision making throughout the MBA experience to develop your capacity to identify and resolve ethical dilemmas in the corporate setting.
Tough Questions, Tough Choices
In Management and Ethical Leadership, the ethical frameworks for business decision making are explored in depth. Through case analysis, role play and a discussion of the current business climate, students examine the foundation for moral decision making and observe the value systems of others. By exploring how the same decision could be viewed as either ethical or unethical, depending on the framework used, implications for business and the impact on various stakeholders is emphasized.
Infusion of Ethics Across the Curriculum
Coursework and projects weave in ethical concepts and provide a broad perspective to apply in all disciplines and industries. Leadership skills in the program are built in tandem with ethical concepts to strengthen principled decision-making in management settings. Courses such as Management and Ethical Leadership and Law and Ethics for Managers provide a broader range and deeper discussion of relevant topics.
Ethical Dilemmas in Decision Making
To what extent does consideration of ethics guide business decisions? You’ll experience this dilemma in marketing strategy, where bottom-line considerations vie with ethical responsibilities to the greater good. In tackling real business situations through real business cases, you learn to navigate the complex ethical decisions that are an essential part of running a company.
