Career Resources
Customized career services
Meredith’s office of Academic and Career Planning provides resources that support and create opportunities to enhance current careers or move up within a current company or industry. Individualized services for MBA students include personal assessments, resume critique and development, and career counseling and coaching. Since MBA students have varying backgrounds and multiple roles that affect their career decisions and direction, experienced counselors work individually with MBA students to provide customized services.
Discover new career opportunities
For MBA students seeking new positions, the Academic and Career Planning staff help focus on identifying career direction, conducting a job search, and exploring career management issues. Programs and tools include opportunities to meet employers (either on campus or at career fairs), resume referral, personal assessment and testing, resume and cover letter development and interview preparation.
Capitalize on established relationships with employers
Recent employers that have visited our campus to recruit include Ford Motor Company, Credit Suisse, Cisco, BB&T and Merck Pharmaceutical. Also, through our Business Advisory Board and our MBA alumni, we have established connections in place for those who want to network or explore other employment options.
Resources and networks that extend beyond campus
Executives from the Business Advisory Board are available for individualized career mentoring by appointment. In addition, students can reap the benefits of relationships with MBA peers and alumni through social networking and events.
