Tiffany Lachenmayr, a graduate of Meredith College’s Master of Education program, is WRAL-TV’s Teacher of the Week.
Lachenmayr teachers fourth grade math and science at Timber Drive Elementary School in Garner, N.C. She earned an M.Ed. in elementary education from Meredith College in 2010
This is the latest honor received by Lachenmayr, who was named North Carolina’s Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award winner in November 2012. Called the ”Oscars of Teaching” by Teacher Magazine, the Milken Educator Awards were created in 1985 by education reform leader Lowell Milken to celebrate, elevate and activate excellence in the profession.
