Boston University Religion Professor Stephen Prothero will present “The American Bible: Into the Heart of America’s Culture Wars” at Meredith College on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, in Jones Chapel.
Prothero is the author of numerous books, including his latest “The American Bible: How Our Words Unite, Divide, and Defend a Nation,” and The New York Times bestseller “Religious Literacy: What Americans Need to Know.” He was the chief editorial consultant for the 2010 PBS series “God in America.” Prothero frequently writes for major news media, including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today. In 2010, he was invited to speak about religious literacy at the White House.
