Fourth Annual CSI Week at Meredith Oct. 22-26 Bookmark and Share
The fourth annual CSI Week will be held at Meredith College October 22-26, 2012. Learn more about a variety of careers and issues related to law enforcement and crime investigation. This series of events is sponsored by the Sociology and Criminology Program and the Sociology & Criminology Club.

CSI Week features the following events.

Monday, October 22
10-10:50 a.m.
Quad between Harris and SMB
Meet the dogs from the Raleigh Police Department Canine Unit

11-11:50 a.m.
214 Harris
Claudia Bridges from the Internal Revenue Service will be talking about Forensic Accounting and how the IRS investigates fraud.

1-1:50 p.m.
Harris 214
Special Agent Newsom Summerlin from the FBI will be speaking about this agency

2-3 p.m.
SMB 253
Lauren Norman with Garner/Holly Springs/Knightdale Police Department crime mapping division to talk about the work she does.

Tuesday, October 23

U.S. Marshal Scott Parker will be speaking about his agency and the work they do.

11-12:20 p.m.

Assistant Director of Detention Services Samuel Higdon for Wake Country Sheriff’s Department will talk about jail and the process of getting booked.

ACLU Civil Rights Attorney Raul Pinto speaking about racial profiling in North Carolina

Wednesday, October 24

Durham Police Department Officer to speak about juveniles, drugs and crime.

Melanie Shekita and Boz Zellinger, Wake County Prosecutors will speak about the work of the prosecutors in the Criminal Justice system.

Thursday, October 25

Brian Padian from Homeland Security Investigations (formerly ICE –Immigration and Customs Enforcement) will discuss his agency.

Friday, Oct 26

Scott Storrs of Capital City Bonding in Columbia, S.C., will talk about being a bail bondsman.
