Meredith Soccer Hosts National Invitational Classic Bookmark and Share
The Avenging Angels host three premiere squads — Birmingham Southern, Emory University, and Johns Hopkins — in the National Invitational Classic this weekend, Sept 7 and 9, 2012.

Meredith faces Birmingham Southern in Friday's tournament opener. The Panthers recently defeated USA South foe Methodist University. The teams pair off at 5 p.m. at the Meredith Soccer Complex.

The Emory Eagles advanced four spots in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III Women's Soccer Poll, moving from sixth to second, after defeating then #1 Messiah last weekend. Johns Hopkins sits immediately behind Emory at #3 in the rankings announced yesterday. The two schools play each other in Friday's tournament nightcap. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.

On day two of the Classic, the Avenging Angels take on Emory at 2:15 p.m., while Birmingham Southern pairs off with the Blue Jays at noon.
