Meredith College recently commemorated the 60th birthday of China’s Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE).
The university, located in Dalian, China, has had a 20-year partnership with Meredith College that features a faculty exchange program through which a Meredith faculty member teaches as a visiting professor in Dalian for four-to-six weeks during the summer. In return, Dongbei University sends a faculty member to Meredith.
On August 27, 2012, President Jo Allen presented a certificate of congratulations and a crystal bowl featuring the Meredith seal to Wei Wu, a DUFE faculty member who is a current visiting professor at Meredith. Photos from the event and the gifts have been sent to the president of DUFE.
