The Meredith College School of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (NMS) provides year-round educational outreach activities for Wake County middle school girls.

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) focus of this outreach is linked to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. All sixth through eighth grade students and their teachers are invited to join the STEM e-Mentoring program, a collaboration between faculty and college students to provide educational and motivational resources through the use of electronic media.
