Dr. Bing Yu, Assistant Professor of Business, received the 2012 Business School Scholar of the Year Award in recognition of his intellectual contributions in the fields of corporate finance. This year, he is the author or co-author of three published articles in finance journals and another article is forthcoming. Ms. Kristy Dixon, Assistant Professor of Business, received the 2012 Outstanding Business School Professor of the Year Award. This award honors an outstanding educator in the School of Business who is enthusiastically engaged with students and actively involved with the campus community. The winner is selected by a vote of the senior class. |

Assistant Professor Dr. Karen Mishra was quoted in the November 9 edition of Forbes magazine where she offered advice to firms considering a socially-responsible component to their business. Dr. Denise Rotondo, Senior Vice President for Academic Administration, presented Dr. Jeff Langenderfer the 2011 Business School Scholar of the Year Award in recognition of his intellectual contributions in the fields of marketing and law. In the past year, he published three articles in the Journal of Public Policy in Marketing and the Journal of Consumer Affairs. He also served as co-editor of a special issue of the Journal of Consumer Affairs which focused on privacy literacy. |
Congratulations to Dr. Douglas Wakeman who received the Outstanding Business School Professor Award for 2011. | Dr. Jane Barnes won the 2011 Pauline Davis Perry Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award was announced at the Meredith College Faculty-Staff Awards Program on April 15. Dr. Barnes is an Associate Professor who teaches Organizational Behavior, Business & Society, and Management & Ethical Leadership. | Congratulations to Dr. Jeff Langenderfer who was selected by graduate students as the 2011 MBA Professor of the Year. This award was announced by MBA student Andrew Aplin at the Graduation Banquet on May 5. Dr. Langenderfer teaches “Strategies for Effective Negotiation” and “Marketing Strategy.” |
