Krista Way
Artist Statement

My artwork communicates my passion for art, design and photography. Whether I am working on a project for someone else or working on a personal project I want my work to communicate an idea or to tell a story. My work is always different depending on the project that I’m given to do either by a client or if I’m working on a personal project for myself. When working on a personal level I am showing an emotion I am feeling at that particular time. My work has shown my anger, happiness, frustration, confidence and sadness among an array of other emotions.
There are so many pressures in this life, whether it is your career, your love life, your health, your family or friends or a terrible event to occur in your life. I want my audience to look at my art and to be able to relate to it in some way, to be educated by it, even if the project is being interpreted the wrong way. To me there is no wrong or right way to express yourself through art, I take a feeling and express it through photography or design. I feel that art is my way of exploring my thoughts as if I were writing them down in a journal or a diary. I strive on not being like everyone else, my desire is to be as unique as possible.
