The ideas for my work are generated through the emotional impact of sound. I have an appetite to intensify subjects to a reverential level because I believe that what appears as fleeting seconds passing in time are truly magical inspirations that need better representation than what the eye can capture in the present moment. Musical and artistic performances serve as a means for me to capture the intensity generated through the lights, pulsating sounds, and most importantly the visible emotions expressed through the performers.

            My work explores ideas of passion, intensity, vulnerability and rawness. I aim for my photographs to express the grit and visceral passion that naturally and inevitably comes from lowering one’s guard and simply letting loose. By presenting images that capture energy through blurred motion, I hope to create work that feels alive.  I aim for my photographs to help individuals appreciate the importance of time and the power of expression and music. I hope my viewers feel a deeper connection with musical and artistic performances and become inspired to let their inner imagination and passion surface.
